Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Morning
Work setting: Butcher shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to work in odours, and cold/refrigerated area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus
  • The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cut carcasses, sides and quarters, cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • The candidates should be able to wrap and package prepared meats
  • The candidates should be able to remove bones from meat, weigh meats for sale
  • The candidates should be able to cut poultry into parts, clean and prepare fish and shellfish
  • The candidates should be able to sell meats to customers, cut fish into steaks and fillets
  • The candidates should be able to make special sausages, prepare special orders
  • The candidates should be able to prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products, shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
