Salary: $31.00 hourly for 15 to 72 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time leading to full time – On the road job
Location: Fredericton, NB
Shifts: On Call, Flexible Hours
Transportation information: Driver’s abstract, Travel expenses paid by employer, Vehicle supplied by employer, Local, Regional, National, International, Provincial/territorial
Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Type of experience: Intercity bus driver, Tour and charter bus driver, Buses
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 2/2F/C Licence (buses with more than passengers), Driver’s Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test and Medical exam

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in their work and have excellent hand-eye coordination for precise tasks
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required by the job and be comfortable with sitting for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and handle loads weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus in all interactions and tasks, possess efficient interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues, and demonstrate excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing client needs and project requirements, exercise sound judgment in decision-making situations, and be organized in managing client requests and project tasks
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work, and work well as part of a team, contributing positively to team dynamics and collaboration

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers, load and unload the vehicle, and deal with the public
  • The candidates should be able to report delays, mechanical problems, accidents, complete logbooks and reports, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures
