Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of graduates of a two year post-secondary Accounting or Finance program
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared to work extended hours and solution-based, proactive, and demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • The candidates should work well independently and as a team member and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS)
  • The candidates should have exceptional technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel) and accounting software packages
  • The candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills and payroll experience, written and oral fluency in French

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to complete day-to-day accounting and procurement transactions to support the board’s financial operations
  • The candidates should be able to verify, enter, and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries accurately and efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to support the administration of all financial aspects of the board’s operations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies
