Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a completed related bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have four years of related experience in an administrative support role
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing and able to work overtime on occasion and be comfortable working in a typical office environment
- The candidates should be able to move or lift objects such as office supplies, boxes, equipment, and files and handle pressure from deadlines and maintain accuracy
- The candidates should be able to spend much of their time in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about
- The candidates should be able to regularly read and interpret multiple sources of information, and have regular requirements to type, read, and work on a computer
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have an equivalent combination of training and experience and experience with different SAP modules and knowledge of various Nova Scotia Government Policies
- The candidates should be self-motivated and able to work both independently with minimal supervision and as an effective team player
- The candidates should be accurate in their work with well-developed time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and priorities and maintain confidentiality in all tasks
- The candidates should possess problem-solving abilities and be able to analyze and present information clearly and concisely
- The candidates should have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with staff and responding to inquiries, both verbally and in writing
- The candidates should consistently maintain a professional and courteous disposition and hold a high standard for client and customer service
- The candidates should have a completed related diploma and two (2) years of experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to create and maintain accurate and detailed files and records
- The candidates should be able to record, prepare, and distribute various correspondence and meeting minutes
- The candidates should be able to perform data entry and maintain accurate tracking systems
- The candidates should be able to ensure the supply of office materials and manage inventory
