Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a four year degree with graduate-level studies in Business or Educational Administration
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of related system and administrative experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in stressful situations and work with critical, inflexible deadlines
  • The candidates should have the ability to understand College strategic directions, client expectations, and academic priorities
  • The candidates should have demonstrated the ability to deliver multiple discrete projects on time and within budget while maximizing the benefits to the organization

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have at least five (5) years of progressive responsibility and experience leading a team with sound decision-making and people development skills
  • The candidates should have experience in project management, strategic planning, and system implementation and demonstrated experience in digital technology related to e-commerce, retail, and customer service delivery
  • The candidates should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and excellent written communication and analytical skills
  • The candidates should have sound knowledge of administrative policies and procedures, especially related to Campus Services functions, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide support to the Director by redirecting or utilizing college and divisional resources to implement key strategies, ensuring the efficient use of human, physical, and fiscal resources
  • The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with departmental and College policies, procedures, Collective Agreements, and Health and Safety requirements and promote services in alignment with the college’s strategic plans, anticipating current and future needs of learners in the evolving digital landscape
  • The candidates should be able to lead key strategies that support the changing nature of learners, business, industry, and the broader environment and provide leadership to operational areas including Food and Conference Services, Parking Services, Retail Services, Residence, and Marketing, ensuring staff assignments align with strategic and divisional goals
  • The candidates should be able to manage, motivate, supervise, and evaluate the Campus Services division’s Managers or Leads and support staff, overseeing departmental events and professional development activities
  • The candidates should be able to mediate conflicts and resolve issues related to the delivery of services or supports within divisional departments and safeguard the college’s interests by ensuring Campus Services complies with Ministry policies, directives, and submits all required documentation for regular operations and special projects
  • The candidates should be able to provide clear, professional communication on behalf of the department, ensuring quality control in communications such as announcements, newsletters, Board of Governors reports, and Annual Departmental Reports and collaborate in the development and implementation of the College’s Strategic Plan, aligning services with the needs of students, the College community, and suppliers
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the development and enhancement of student services, including the integration of automated services and facilitate cross-functional cooperation, communication, and information sharing related to service development, renewal, and delivery
  • The candidates should be able to conduct environmental and market scans to ensure that future services meet student needs, reviewing and adjusting delivery strategies accordingly and represent the College on community and college system committees, strengthening external partnerships
  • The candidates should be able to monitor Campus Services budgets and assist in developing budgets for special projects as directed by the Director and facilitate regular service reviews to ensure continuous quality improvement and ensure marketing initiatives focused on financial sustainability and return on investment
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the review of existing policies and processes, ensuring effective and cost-effective measures and anticipate future challenges and collaborate with the Director to recommend proactive strategies for maintaining service viability in light of changing student needs and funding challenges
