Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have availability to attend and successfully pass a five (5) to seven (7) weeks full-time paid training program
- The candidates should have availability to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period, including weekends and holidays
- The candidates should have the ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods and the ability to lift, push, pull, and provide wheelchair assistance to customers with reduced mobility
- The candidates should be able to work within strict timelines to maintain on-time performance and the ability to adhere to Air Canada’s attendance and grooming standards
- The candidates should be eligible to work in Canada and a strong ability to solve problems and find solutions in line with guidelines and policies
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills and be safety and security conscious
- The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations as required by Transport Canada
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to conduct customer check-in and prepare and issue boarding passes
- The candidates should be able to assist pre-boarding customers and provide information on flight schedules and routes
- The candidates should be able to assist customers requiring special assistance throughout their journey, ensuring timely and safe transport to designated gates or baggage claims
