Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should constantly lift objects less than 5lbs and occasionally lift between 20 – 40 lbs when assisting with a patient’s luggage (ambulatory care) or lifting a box of files requiring assistance. They may also be required to maneuver carts and use a step ladder to access higher shelves
- The candidates should constantly perform fine finger/precision work while sitting and using a computer mouse, scheduling appointments, and other duties
- The candidates should stand, walk, and take postural breaks (sit, stand, or walk) within the office environment
- The candidates should frequently perform bilateral repetitive fine motor skills when performing various computer work duties that involve typing and use of the computer’s mouse
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be aware that this position will be assigned to W3A but subject to change based on operational requirements
- The candidates should have successfully completed an approved/recognized medical terminology course
- The candidates should maintain a satisfactory record of work performance
- The candidates should provide proof of a current office administration program and medical terminology
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide administrative and clerical support to the staff of W3A
- The candidates should be able to act as a receptionist for the unit and be responsible for patient registration, preparing/filing/data entry of patient care information on the unit, and order entry
- The candidates should be able to handle photocopying, sorting, and distributing mail and able to maintain an organized system of stocking supplies and ordering supplies as requested
- The candidates should be able to provide accurate payroll duties and able to maintain staff phone lists
- The candidates should be able to maintain/filing unit policy/procedures and able to perform other related duties as assigned
