Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Nunavut: Inuktut, English, and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year of experience in an office environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be aware that this is a Highly Sensitive Position, requiring a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • The candidates should be fluent in Inuktut, as it is a requirement for the position and knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit
  • The candidates should have experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment and know that applicants may submit their resumes in any of the official languages of Nunavut: Inuktut, English, and French

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage office procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the Dental Program
  • The candidates should be able to verify and prepare invoices accurately and ensure that Dental Claim forms are filled out correctly when submitted by dental staff
  • The candidates should be able to process prior and post approvals to and from the predetermination center in Ottawa
  • The candidates should be able to return rejected claims to providers for correction and answer phones and maintain an incoming telephone log
  • The candidates should be able to deliver messages in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner and greet visitors and advise staff of their arrival
