Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a noisy environment and be non-smokers
• The candidates should demonstrate keen attention to detail in their work.
• The candidates should be able to adapt to performing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as required by the tasks at hand

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to develop, implement, and assist in child-care programs that support and promote the overall development of children
• The candidates should be able to lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and local outings to engage children in learning and exploration
• The candidates should be able to guide children in developing proper habits related to eating, dressing, and hygiene
• The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment, prepare snacks, and ensure clean and organized spaces for children’s activities and rest
• The candidates should be able to document children’s progress and discuss it with supervisors and parents during staff meetings
• The candidates should be able to assess children’s abilities and needs, ensuring a supportive and safe environment for their development
• The candidates should be able to organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours to support their growth and learning
