Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate creativity
- The candidates should have the ability to multitask
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and engage in storytelling
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
