Job Description:

Salary: $18.00 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 24 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time
Location: Rothesay, NB
Shifts: Day, 13:30 to 17:30
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Child care centre, Rural area, Before and after school programs

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and exhibit dependability in their tasks
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and show flexibility in their approach to tasks
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting their commitments and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, providing opportunities for creative expression through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, as well as plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
