Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a post-secondary degree or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 1-2+ years’ professional sales experience in the Insurance Industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess business development and prospecting skills with a goal-oriented attitude and a strong ambition to succeed
  • The candidates should have the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • The candidates should hold a Life/A&S License (HLLQP/LLQP), or demonstrate willingness to complete it
  • The candidates should have an existing network of referrals and approved centers of influence
  • The candidates should have digital literacy using a variety of systems and tools
  • The candidates should have industry designations preferred, including CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), CHS (Certified Health Insurance Specialist)
  • The candidates should have communication, competitive markets, and cross-selling skills
  • The candidates should possess customer knowledge, understanding of customer needs, and interpersonal relationship management abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in life insurance, perseverance, follow-through, and various sales activities

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide integrated life insurance planning and advice to their existing network of referrals and new RBC client acquisitions as an accredited Insurance Advisor Life & Wealth (HLLQP/LLQP)
  • The candidates should be able to drive to understand the full suite of RBC Insurance Life, Whole Life, Living Benefits, & Wealth products to provide valuable solutions to clients based on their needs
  • The candidates should be able to connect with clients through discovery to better understand their life events and offer comprehensive insurance and financial advice that aligns with their current and changing needs
  • The candidates should be able to promote a client-first mindset in a digital environment by meeting clients when it is most convenient for them
  • The candidates should be able to develop and deepen client relationships with the use of Salesforce and other compliant customer tools/electronic forms
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to and be accountable for their team’s sales success through the achievement of their individual sales goals
  • The candidates should be able to increase their external networks by capitalizing on market opportunities and referrals from approved centers of influence
  • The candidates should be able to regularly review individual business results and adjust activities as required to meet established targets
  • The candidates should be able to deliver on RBC’s vision to be among the world’s most trusted and successful financial institutions
