Salary: $72,800 to $80,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – Remote work available
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, 09:00 to 17:00
Transportation information: Travel expenses paid by employer, and public transportation is available
Work setting: Private company, corporation, or industry, head office, private sector, and transportation, communication, and utilities

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Accounting
Computer and technology knowledge: Accounting software, MS Office, internet, MS Excel, MS Windows, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: Chartered Accountants (CA) Designation and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working under pressure
  • The candidates should be adept at meeting tight deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be able to manage a large caseload and handle a large workload

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements and plan, set up, and administer accounting systems
  • The candidates should be able to ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control, as well as prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies
  • The candidates should be able to prepare financial statements and reports, recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices, and develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures
  • The candidates should be able to analyze financial documents and reports, examine accounting records, and assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • The candidates should be able to conduct variance analysis and keep financial records, as well as establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
