Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with leadership accountability
Other Requirements:
- The candidates must hold a CPA designation with 3-5 years’ experience in a related role
- The candidates should have strong computer literacy, including advanced working skills in Microsoft Office, is required
- The candidates should have thorough technical knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) is essential
- The candidates should have experience with Great Plains and Yardi software is considered an asset
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to lead the on-time and on-quality preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow
- The candidate should be able to lead the preparation and delivery of the annual audited financial statements for the division
- The candidate should be able to lead the on-time and on-quality delivery of annual special reports required by the Government
- The candidate should be able to supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of the team, including professional development, monitoring and managing performance, providing coaching as needed
- The candidate should be able to collaborate with finance managers on monthly income statement reviews, revenue growth strategies, and budget development as required
- The candidate should be able to assist in the transition of financial reporting systems and processes to support company growth
- The candidate should be able to support year-end audits by coordinating and providing auditors with requested information in a timely manner
- The candidate should be able to support the Financial Controller to manage and optimize the financial reporting close process
- The candidate should be able to foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking always to be best in class for financial reporting processes and practices
