Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work a rotation of 14 days on/14 days off (12-hour shifts)
  • The candidates should work under the direction of the Mine Operations Superintendent to maintain the pit dewatering system and perform other duties
  • The candidates should be prepared to work at the Magino Mine, approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Wawa, Ontario and Canada
  • The candidates should be aware that, although assigned a work schedule, hours may vary with the needs of the company
  • The candidates should understand that Magino promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and adheres to a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should promote and maintain strict adherence to all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Community Relations standards
  • The candidates should coordinate the scheduling of operators and equipment to achieve production goals for tonnes, grade, stripping, and equipment utilization in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner
  • The candidates should review and monitor key operating targets, including safety, attendance, productivity, quality control, and environmental compliance
  • The candidates should assign, prioritize, and supervise all mine operations tasks and activities with an emphasis on safety
  • The candidates should collaborate with the training team to ensure access and participation for current and upcoming initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement
  • The candidates should lead and mentor the operations team to ensure professional development and career growth opportunities
  • The candidates should ensure accurate and timely documentation, including reports and KPIs and participate in the detailed planning and setup for cross shifts
