Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of an accredited nursing program
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years of experience working as a nurse
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the physical ability to lift weights up to 10 kg 22 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have completed a current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province
- The candidates should have previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others as well as a certification in First Aid and CPR
- The candidates should possess technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and have the ability to learn new systems and programs
- The candidates should have a second language, which is considered an asset to support a positive donor experience
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with donors, conduct registration, and perform confidential screening to determine eligibility and build and promote a positive donor experience
- The candidates should be able to utilize strong people skills to provide donors with information, instruction, and advice on plasma donation
- The candidates should be able to draw on their knowledge and experience to provide coaching and consultation to donor center staff, acting as team lead for collection events
- The candidates should be able to excellent interpersonal skills to work in a diverse team environment, assisting in the collection of plasma, which saves lives daily
- The candidates should be able to assist at mobile events within our communities by setting up booths, tables, and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use
