Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Experience: Candidates should have 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 6+ years of experience working at low levels of the software stack, device driver development, and integration of hardware and software
- The candidates should meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which must be passed upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter
- The candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 10+ years of technical engineering experience in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 8+ years of technical engineering experience in these languages, OR equivalent experience
- The candidates should have 4+ years of people management experience and 10+ years of experience delivering world-class system software
- The candidates should possess deep knowledge and hands-on experience in ML compiler, tool, and platform technology
- The candidates should have in-depth experience and knowledge in operating system development in either user-mode or kernel-mode development
- The candidates should have a proven track record of significant technical leadership in the research and development of AI platforms or frameworks technology
- The candidates should have prior experience in the design and development of ML hardware microarchitecture in real-world products
- The candidates should have proficient communication and customer interfacing skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize issues
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive co-engineering efforts with industry partners to deliver durable, scalable, and high-performance designs and platform solutions
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with engineers from within or outside the team, and within or outside of Microsoft, to build and maintain existing and future features of the DirectML platform on various hardware architectures
- The candidates should be able to develop and maintain highly reliable and scalable conformance and performance benchmark systems that run across diverse hardware architectures
- The candidates should be able to model a great example of engineering excellence and product quality in all aspects of software development and partner collaboration
- The candidates should be able to help Microsoft seek out and attract new talents in AI platform research and development
- The candidates should be able to mentor and develop new engineers to take on new initiatives and challenges and embody Microsoft’s Culture and Values
