It provides live-in treatment and intensive outpatient services to help youth stabilize and transition successfully. It functions by collaborating with families and communities to promote long-term recovery and reintegration. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years’ post-licensure experience working with this population
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. An equivalent combination of education and experience
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- The candidates should have a minimum of 10 years post-licensure experience working with complex youth and families
- The candidates should possess formal psychological assessment experience and be eligible to supervise with the College of Alberta Psychologists to oversee future internships and provisional team members
- The candidates should have experience working with complex trauma and experience in a live-in treatment environment
- The candidates should acknowledge that this position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024, and by applying, they agree to become an employee of Recovery Alberta
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide advice, counsel, options, recommendations, and perspectives on office, portfolio, or Recovery Alberta matters, projects, or issues
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and manage portfolio policies, programs, and processes and provide leadership for other executive administrative personnel within the portfolio
- The candidates should be able to lead and direct recruitment, hiring, and personnel management for the portfolio at the discretion of the Chief Operating Officer, set and create planning timelines and guidelines based on portfolio priorities
- The candidates should be able to effectively administer, coordinate, and manage information, correspondence, facts, and data, prepare recommendations in the form of briefing notes, proposals, and other required documentation
- The candidates should be able to manage complex projects with system-wide impact, including developing comprehensive project plans, communicating with key stakeholders, and monitoring outcomes and results
- The candidates should be able to administer, coordinate, and manage portfolio and Recovery Alberta committees and develop strategic alliances with key internal and external stakeholders and engage partners in collaborative planning
- The candidates should be able to create and build commitment to the Recovery Alberta vision by enabling effective communication strategies
- The candidates should be able to serve as role models in developing an organizational culture and promoting the portfolio’s vision
- The candidates should be able to ensure support of the vision, mission, and goals of Recovery Alberta and support oversight on portfolio budgets and resources
