Transportation information: Valid driver’s license

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Truck or equipment experience: Snowplough
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights in dusty, hot, noisy, and odorous environments. They should be accustomed to working outdoors, even in wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The candidates should be physically demanding
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit dependability, excellent oral communication, strong judgment, and effective teamwork skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds
- The candidates should be able to spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control
- The candidates should be able to dig ditches and trenches
- The candidates should be able to operate various equipment and machinery
- The candidates should be able to assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or a truck
- The candidates should be able to load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- The candidates should be able to shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes, and hand tampers
- The candidates should be able to sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds, and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks
- The candidates should be able to ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place
