Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have Five years’ journalism experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a marked ability to work well in a team
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have in-depth knowledge of regional, national, and international news and current affairs
- The candidates should have superior spoken and written French skills and possess extensive general knowledge
- The candidates should have a good knowledge of the other official language (English) and solid command of communication techniques specific to each platform
- The candidates should have a keen interest in preparing, posting, and managing social media content
- The candidates should have thorough knowledge of regional newsroom logistics and knowledge of production techniques
- The candidates should be familiar with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
- The candidates should have a strong ability to organize their workload to meet newsroom deadlines
- The candidates should have knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada production applications (Scoop, Dalet, Media Central, iNews, and digital tools)
- The candidates should be primarily assigned to radio and the web but may also work on TV/radio news programs
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to oversee editorial choices, writing, and publication of news on the internet
- The candidates should be able to establish the angle of news coverage, write texts, headlines, and report primers for radio and television in collaboration with the entire newsroom
- The candidates should be able to prepare live interventions with journalists and present journalistic content on radio programs and on the Téléjournal
- The candidates should be able to review texts intended for publication by web journalists and request corrections
