Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare profession and healthcare management
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a management role in Seniors Health operations

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues
  • The candidates should have the ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources within an operating environment
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization, ideally managing within a unionized sector

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a management role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity healthcare experience
  • The candidates should demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development
  • The candidates should be effective communicators with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation, and a commitment to providing quality services
  • The candidates should possess leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others
  • The candidates should have a strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The candidates should possess excellent analytical and decision-making skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to report directly to the Director Clinical Operations as a key leadership role in the North Zone Operations
  • The candidates should be able to provide direction, leadership, and organization over the activities of the team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Seniors Health services in the North Zone
  • The candidates should be able to support the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services
  • The candidates should be able to integrate various resources to carry out Seniors Health activities effectively
  • The candidates should be able to make key decisions and have direct leadership responsibility for establishing and contributing to the achievement of Seniors Health goals within the North Zone
  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to provide leadership to the operations of Seniors Health within Area 1 in the North Zone
