Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of completed post-secondary courses in Administration, Purchasing, and Stock Control
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a stores or purchasing environment that included a distribution function
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have Grade 12 graduation or an equivalent education level and possess a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- The candidates should have completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (W.H.M.I.S.) course
- The candidates should have experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Word
- The candidates should have experience with computer-based inventory control systems such as M.Y.O.B
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report directly to the purchasing officer as part of the administration team within the correctional centre
- The candidates should be able to work in both inmate and non-inmate areas, as well as indoors and outdoors
- The candidates should be able to support the large storage department at the Okanagan Correctional Centre, which supplies all areas of the facility
- The candidates should be able to assist in maintaining a large fleet of government vehicles associated with the correctional centre
