Supervision: 1 to 10 people, Cook (general), Food and beverage servers, Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with odorous environments and able to work in hot conditions
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working under pressure
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be proficient in bending, crouching, kneeling, and skilled in walking during work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dedicated to client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication and exhibit flexibility in their work approach
- The candidates should be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise staff in preparing and portioning food
- The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures and estimate/order ingredients and supplies
- The candidates should be able to ensure food service and quality control, prepare a budget and cost estimates, and address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports, and prepare food order summaries for the chef
- The candidates should have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres and supervise/check the delivery of food trolleys
