Salary: $17.53 to $22.33 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week

Work setting: Before and after school programs, daycare center, or nursery school
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality in their work schedule, be dependable in fulfilling their duties, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication, demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances, and have interpersonal awareness and sensitivity

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, engage children in activities including storytelling, song teaching, and crafts preparation, and guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, plan and maintain an environment ensuring the health, security, and well-being of children, and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
