Salary: $27.05 hourly for 32 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Windsor, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence and Willing to travel cross-border
Work setting: Remote location and various locations
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, and Trip reports

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul, and Provincial/territorial
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor-trailer
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, manage a large workload, and handle weight
• The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, and be a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns and coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
• The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• The candidates should be able to perform brake adjustments and receive and relay information to central dispatch
