J. Jenkins & Son Landscape Contractors Limited based in Gormley, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Vegetable Field Mechanic, Heavy Equipment. J. Jenkins & Son Landscape Contractors Limited is known to specialize in the salvage, regeneration, and reuse of excess soils generated from commercial and residential development sites. Our company provides soil for sod, seed, tree and shrub planters, performance blends for sports fields, and soils that support green infrastructure and low impact development (bioretention soil and green roof growing media). We operate several soil processing facilities across the Greater Toronto Area, Jenkins Soil diverts over 150,000 cubic metres of excess soil away from Regional infill. The candidate has to work in Day, Early Morning and Morning shifts.

Salary: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Gormley, ON
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation/Travel Information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver’s licence
Work Location Information: In shop, Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as a other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 1-2 years
Diesel Engine Repair Specialization: Major internal engine repairs or overhaul, Installation and alignment of engines and machinery, Air conditioning system, Fuel injection system, Engine control system, Lubrication system, Cooling system and Exhaust system
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to keep maintenance reports and documentation
- The candidate should have welding experience
- The candidate should be able to perform repair work on heavy trucks
