Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Machinery or equipment repair, Pressure vessels, and Structural constructionÂ
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) Certification and Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while capable of handling heavy loads and maintaining strong attention to detail
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications, and operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air)
- The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment and previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
