Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be enrolled in any College Co-Op program, and proof of enrollment letter will be requested prior to a job offer

  • The candidates should have possession of a valid driver’s license with a vehicle available for site visits
  • The candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced spreadsheet skills functions and macro

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work with Energy Project Coordinators to help shape and implement citywide energy management or conservation programs and initiatives for new and existing city facilities
  • The candidates should be able to propose and assist with ideas that provide value for money and can reduce energy costs
  • The candidates should be able to research innovative solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of city facilities
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to cross-divisional and departmental energy management meetings
  • The candidates should be able to develop and write project business justifications, case studies, and contract documents
  • The candidates should be able to facilitate problem-solving discussions and liaise with site staff regarding energy management initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to undertake site work (as permitted during pandemic times) in support of energy monitoring, funding, water rebate programs, and any other cost recovery initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to maintain the City’s utility management database and provide reports from the software
