Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of hold a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience within the last year working in Information Technology
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should regularly move and lift objects weighing 10-25 lbs., and occasionally lift monitors and computer equipment up to 40 lbs. while working in awkward or confined spaces
- The candidates should constantly perform fine finger or precision work while sitting for extended periods when using a computer
- The candidates should constantly require visual concentration to read computer monitors and repair and install equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have graduated from a recognized (approved) college with a two-year or three-year program in Information Technology or Computer Support
- The candidates should have successfully completed CompTIA’s A+ Certification or MCSE Certification
- The candidates should have current working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and experience with security protocols, secure communications, and network-based service deployment and management
- The candidates should have experience in the planning, deployment, and support of information technology in a health care environment
- The candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and organization skills and be able to work independently in a client-focused environment and a satisfactory record of work performance
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide front-line analytical IT and security support in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment
- The candidates should be able to report to the Regional Manager of Customer Service, Healthcare Technology and Data Management (HTDM) and assist with the HTDM Service Desk, serving as a central point of contact between Eastern Health end users and technical support staff
- The candidates should be able to exercise substantial judgment and autonomy to address and prioritize daily requests received through direct calls, voicemail, email submissions, self-serve portals, fax, and walk-ups
- The candidates should be able to identify and analyze computer support, hardware, and application problems and recommend or implement solutions and assess various end-user requests and determine hardware or software requirements for desktop users
- The candidates should be able to provide desktop and network support to multiple departments (managers and staff) across geographically dispersed sites
- The candidates should be able to consult with end users and vendors to evaluate systematic issues with computer hardware or software and provide appropriate solutions using remote support software
- The candidates should be able to install and test vendor-supplied software programs and modify default configurations to meet end user and organizational requirements and educate and orient end users on the proper use of hardware and software
- The candidates should be able to maintain a wide range of desktop operating systems and various applications
- The candidates should be able to install network and local printers on desktop computers using remote support software
