Salary: $19.00 hourly for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years 

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and pay attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate punctuality and communicate excellently in oral form
  • The candidates should be able to show flexibility and demonstrate interpersonal awareness
  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
