Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma with an additional program of three (3) to four (4) years in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have a four (4) years of experience in IT and Enterprise system administration, up to and including eighth (8) years
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess 2 years of supervisory/project lead experience, which is considered an asset
- The candidates should have experience with the administration and support of an Enterprise GIS and the Esri suite of products, including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and ArcGIS Online, which is an asset
- The candidates should have experience with CADD technology, including the Bentley suite of products, MicroStation, ProjectWise, and InRoads/OpenRoads, as well as Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and 3DSMax, which is an asset
- The candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint (including Office 365), LDAP/ADFS, considered as an asset
- The candidates should possess advanced knowledge and experience with SQL Server and Oracle, along with an understanding of integration protocols and technologies
- The candidates should have experience with cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS, which is an asset
- The candidates should demonstrate advanced knowledge of Web and Application server support and administration, preferably with experience in Windows Server, Linux, IIS, and Oracle WebLogic
- The candidates should have 2 years of application development experience in .Net, C#, PL/SQL, TFS, Visual Studio Suite, and previous scripting experience is considered an asset (i.e., Shell scripting)
- The candidates should have knowledge of the ITIL Framework is required, and ITIL V3 Foundations Certification is considered an asset
- The candidates should have knowledge of PCI Compliance and FOI/MFIPPA regulations is considered an asset
- The candidates should have good organization and time management skills
- The candidates should possess exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the integrity and security of the Enterprise Applications (GIS and CADD) Production environment and all related support and maintenance activities
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement the Enterprise System(s) security strategy, including design, implementation, and enforcement in regards to separation of duties of the various roles identified in the system(s)
- The candidates should be able to utilize strong systems benchmarking and performance optimization skills to identify, define, and implement pro-active monitoring and administrative technologies and procedures. Identify potential issues before they impact the end user, identify and implement areas for improvement and performance tuning
- The candidates should be able to define, document, and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, system documentation, and associated training plans for the administration and use of the Enterprise Systems (GIS and CADD)
- The candidates should be able to take a pro-active approach to system maintenance and problem avoidance, including responsibility for the technical integrity, administration, maintenance, and support of all technical components (including: application servers, report servers, application instances, integration points, and other related technologies) in the daily operations of the Enterprise Systems (GIS and CADD)
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for the design and implementation of Quality Assurance processes for changes to the production operating environment to ensure the integrity and security of all system and data components
- The candidates should be able to lead the planning, design, installation, administration, support, and maintenance of the Enterprise Systems (GIS and CADD) to ensure a reliable, robust, and cost-effective service
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for the design and implementation of the system administration Maintenance and Release management plan and the resulting maintenance streams and processes
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with external contacts and colleagues both inside and outside the IT organizational units
- The candidates should be able to conduct system reviews to adhere to regulatory, industry standards, and corporate policies
