Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing and Economics
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of advisory and consultative experience in strategic business planning

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should lead and facilitate teams, working collaboratively to develop and implement business strategies and performance measurement programs

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should ideally within the public sector or a unionized environment and leverage data modeling, mining, and analysis techniques, with experience in business intelligence tools and lean methodologies, to support decision-making and improve organizational performance
  • The candidates should apply project management principles, successfully overseeing projects from conception through implementation, while maintaining a strong understanding of change management principles
  • The candidates should communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver strategic insights

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide expertise and leadership in consultation tactics, research methods, and analysis to support key strategic and corporate initiatives
  • The candidates should be able to provide consultative project management support, delivering innovative solutions within the Organizational Performance portfolio, which includes strategy, metrics, analytics, process improvements, and both customer and employee experience enhancements
  • The candidates should be able to lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive Corporate Performance Measurement Framework that ensures alignment across all operating departments and functional areas with corporate strategic directives
  • The candidates should be able to actively seek continuous improvement, identify trends and opportunities, lead the articulation of performance targets, and report outcomes to leadership, members of Council, the organization, and the community
  • The candidates should be able to support and reinforce a customer-centric and performance-driven culture that aligns with the City’s values, competencies, and focus on people
