Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Completion of master’s degree in Audiology
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to screen, identify, assess, and manage patients presenting with hearing and balance disorders
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills to supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to use their clinical expertise to inform program development and planning
  • The candidates should be able to interpret findings and provide counseling regarding hearing loss and balance dysfunction
  • The candidates should be able to establish appropriate intervention plans to manage and reduce the functional impact of hearing loss
  • The candidates should be able to provide patients, their families, and other professionals with information and recommendations
  • The candidates should be able to make referrals to other agencies and professionals as needed
  • The candidates should be able to stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of audiology and vestibular disorders
  • The candidates should be able to maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
