Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs
- The candidates should be able and willing to work evening and/or night shifts
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
- The candidates should be able to primarily work indoors, in a warehouse or shop, and occasionally work outdoors
- The candidates should be able to be exposed to hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to wear a UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and adhere to the company’s Appearance Guidelines
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Red Seal 310T or 310S license
- The candidates should possess essential trade tools and equipment
- The candidates should have strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
- The candidates must pass a pre-employment road test
- The candidates should have no violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
- The candidates should have no accidents and a maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance, and diagnostic tests of the UPS vehicle fleet
- The candidates should be able to repair, inspect, and maintain UPS diesel, propane, CNG, and gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner
- The candidates should be able to operate and test company vehicles within UPS facilities and on public roads

- The candidate will have a Unionized role with a defined progression with a top rate of $38.79 after completing 24 months (post seniority) of service
- The candidate will receive weekly pay (every Friday)
- The candidate will have automatic pay progression as per the existing union Collective Agreement
