Salary: $17.79 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Whitehorse, YT
Supervision: 3-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a client-focused approach in their interactions
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to different situations
  • The candidates should be effective team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimate and order ingredients and supplies, and ensure food service and quality control
  • The candidates should be able to prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and prepare and submit reports
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, establish work schedules, and organize and manage buffets and banquets
  • The candidates should be able to consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions
