Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have graduated from a recognized university or college-level program
Experience: Candidates should have 4 years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of recreation services or community development work
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a community mindset and be successful in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with partners and other stakeholders
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have an equivalent combination of education and experience and technical expertise applicable to the specific role
- The candidates should have a good understanding of community recreation programs, their purpose, and objectives
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan and implement a diverse range of programs and follow safety processes to identify and correct unsafe conditions around the recreation facility, including equipment and program activity safety, as well as licensing requirements
- The candidates should be able to develop and administer annual budgets and grants, including managing revenues and expenditures
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports as required, including those related to budget, operations, and grants
- The candidates should be able to work collaboratively with community stakeholders to enhance program and service delivery and offerings and recruit, supervise, and train staff and volunteers
