Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and transport and handle dangerous goods
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service, accept payment or invoices for items delivered, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, keep a record of items received and delivered, and perform administrative tasks
- The candidates should be able to deliver newspapers, flyers to residences and businesses, accept and deliver messages and packages for events, conferences, or assemblies, and set appointments for the sales team
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, sort packages for delivery, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- The candidates should be able to prepare, package, and restock goods, follow directions and read maps, and use maps and other trip planning aids
- The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems, and pay and receive payments for goods
