Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials:Â Child development assistant (ECE level 1), First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual
- The candidates should have ability to multitask, values and ethics, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, storytelling, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to knowledge of Day Nurseries Act, establish guidelines for behaviour, supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children,
