Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks and be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and flexibility while maintaining interpersonal awareness and good judgment
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability in their responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, as well as support educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, preparing crafts, and guiding them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to discuss children’s progress and problems at staff meetings and plan and maintain an environment that ensures their health, security, and well-being

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
