Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of bachelor’s in social science Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Community Studies
Experience: Candidates should have previous experience in child welfare or other social services
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to adapt to changing or unpredictable client circumstances, exercise timely judgment, and make decisions to provide culturally responsive service to clients
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently and in a team environment to strengthen and improve the support provided to children and families
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships and networks with diverse individuals, groups, and communities
- The candidates should exhibit effective interactive communication skills (written and verbal) to engage in collaborations and navigate diverse client environments with tact and empathy
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and community resources, along with an understanding of the physical, psychological, and emotional needs of children and youth in a family setting as well as in care
- The candidates should possess knowledge of financial management, healthy child development, and life skills
- The candidates should have an understanding and experience with working towards the objectives of established case plans
- The candidates should have knowledge of various software packages, such as Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams)
- The candidates should have experience with department case management systems (ICM/CCM)

- The candidates should be able to develop strategies and provide knowledge, tools, and guidance to families and youth to support independent living and meet their physical, emotional, social, and learning
- The candidates should be able to build positive relationships with diverse clients (families, children, and youth), ensuring respect, empathy, and an understanding of the impact of their trauma
- The candidates should be able to advocate for clients and help them connect to community supports and resources
- The candidates should be able to assist with income and social supports, affordable housing, and life skills
- The candidates should be able to make independent visits to clients in their homes or communities and attend court sessions
- The candidates should be able to conduct comprehensive and timely evaluations of ongoing services to clients with the intent to find solutions and improve services
