Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post secondary degree
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a CFP designation or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), or Financial Planning I & II (FP I and II)
  • The candidates should have completed the Canadian Securities Course and be licensed to sell mutual funds (excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec)
  • The candidates should have advanced working knowledge of the financial industry and in-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • The candidates should possess specialized knowledge from education and business experience and an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The candidates should have in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills, in-depth influence skills and in-depth collaboration and team skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take a lead in proactively engaging with new and existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify immediate or future opportunities and implement business development strategies to acquire new business (outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals)
  • The candidates should be able to engage customers to grow BMO’s business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community and support the achievement of sales and performance targets
  • The candidates should be able to identify opportunities during customer conversations to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products personal banking, lending, and investments
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement a relationship management plan to meet the needs of clients and develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder
  • The candidates should be able to respond to customer investment requests to fulfill investment product needs aligned with the customer’s goals and refer the customer to partners where appropriate and introduce clients to investment strategies and work with clients to set goals and make real financial progress using appropriate guidance tools
  • The candidates should be able to break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations and execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service and exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules and take on broader work or accountabilities and work mostly independently
  • The candidates should be able to probe to understand customer personal investment and banking needs and integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice
  • The candidates should be able to look for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall business results and customer experience delivered and maintain current knowledge of personal investment products, practices, and trends and integrate them into customer conversations
  • The candidates should be able to work at multiple branches and through various channels based on market needs to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives
  • The candidates should be able to protect the Bank’s assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements and think creatively and propose new solutions and build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and focus on a business or group
