Air North, Yukon’s Airline is a regional Canadian carrier based in Whitehorse, Yukon. It provides scheduled passenger and cargo flights across Yukon and major cities, along with charter services. Co-owned by the Vuntut It plays a key role in northern air travel and community connection. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Location: Whitehorse, YT, CA
Shift: 35-40 hours per week
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a combination of culinary apprenticeship and experience exceeding 5 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust built with passengers, partners, and communities
- The candidates should show enthusiasm for contributing to the unique mission, whether through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support, Â be legally entitled to work in Canada
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Driver’s License, basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- The candidates should have experience in maintaining records such as food time, temperature logs, food costing reports, consumption, sales, and inventory
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to create and modify menus in collaboration with the Catering Manager and Supervisor
- The candidates should be able to prepare all aspects of food production for catering according to established standards
- The candidates should be able to coordinate with flight catering leads to ensure each kitchen section understands their specific duties and timelines
- The candidates should be able to delegate and assign tasks to other First Cooks, assist with training and guiding new kitchen staff
- The candidates should be able to oversee kitchen inventory management, including ordering supplies and rotating stock
