Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: North Bay, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Own transportation
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Rural area, Various locations, Landscape contractor, Residential, Private residence, and Landscape maintenance
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors, as required by the job duties, and be capable of working in all weather conditions as necessary for the job
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks and responsibilities effectively, exhibit meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of their work, and be proficient in handling repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately
- The candidates should be capable of safely handling heavy loads as required by the job, be prepared for physically demanding tasks as part of the job requirements, and possess manual dexterity for precise and accurate task performance
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors as necessary for job tasks, adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the job
- The candidates should excel in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, possess hand-eye coordination for tasks requiring precision, and be able to meet tight deadlines effectively

- The candidates should prioritize client focus, ensuring the satisfaction of client needs, demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, and exhibit flexibility, adapting readily to changing tasks, schedules, and environments
- The candidates should be highly organized in managing tasks and priorities efficiently, be reliable, consistently fulfilling their duties and commitments, and be cooperative and effective team players, collaborating well with others
- The candidates should show punctuality in meeting deadlines and appointments and exhibit dependability, fulfilling their responsibilities reliably
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to manage landscaping projects, water, and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products
- The candidates should be able to apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting with treatment solutions, examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases, and plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes
- The candidates should be able to plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, plant and move trees, and weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
- The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, and apply fertilizers
- The candidates should be able to rake and collect refuse and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
