Work setting: On-site customer service and Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should possess manual dexterity
• The candidates should have a keen attention to detail
• The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to book appointments and perform receptionist duties
• The candidates should be able to cut and trim hair, shampoo customers’ hair, and shave and trim beards and mustaches
• The candidates should be able to provide various hair treatments, including waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages
• The candidates should be able to analyze hair and scalp conditions, provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments, and apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses for hair coloring
• The candidates should be able to apply hair extensions and perform a variety of hair styling techniques, including cutting, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and styling
• The candidates should be able to suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features or determine styles from clients’ instructions and preferences
• The candidates should be able to maintain and order supplies
