Prairie Rose Outfitters based in Saskatoon, SK is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Hunting guide. Prairie Rose Outfitters offers a wide range of hunting and fishing trips in some of the most remote and pristine wilderness areas of Saskatchewan. We specialize in trophy whitetail deer hunts, as well as waterfowl, upland bird, and bear hunts. We also offer world-class fishing trips for Northern Pike, Walleye, and Lake Trout. We are a well-respected outfitter that offers visitors an authentic and unforgettable hunting or fishing experience in the heart of Saskatchewan’s wilderness. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $26.00 hourly 40 to 60 hours per week

Location: Saskatoon, SK
Shifts
: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Guide specialization: Hunting (firearms)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
  • The candidates should be able to work at wet/damp, noisy, odours, dusty, in/on water, dangerous, and cold/refrigerated areas

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to advise on specific regulations such as hunting and fishing laws and boating regulations, follow environmental guidelines and prevent violations
  • The candidates should be able to set up and take down camps
  • The candidates should be able to maintain equipment
