Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, however experience is asset
Credentials: Certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers effectively
  • They should have the capability to develop and implement child-care programs supporting the holistic development of children
  • The candidates should possess skills in storytelling and leading activities such as teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and engage children in various activities like storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits while observing them for potential learning or behavioral issues and preparing reports for parents or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and issues, assess their abilities and needs, and establish collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain a secure environment that promotes the health and well-being of children while supervising and coordinating activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
