Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of High School (Grade 12) or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 1 year experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should currently enrolled in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent program and proof of enrollment letter will be requested prior to job offer
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- The candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- The candidates should have strong computer and interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The candidates should complete mandatory Health and Safety Training facilitated by the City of Brampton upon commencement of the work term
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report to the Supervisor and work within the Infrastructure Planning section
- The candidates should be able to assist in the planning and maintenance of various geographic and attribute data to support infrastructure assets and operations
- The candidates should be able to help with drawing infrastructure assets using ESRI software
- The candidates should be able to assist in updating infrastructure attributes from drawings and other sources
- The candidates should be able to support the planning of maintenance activities by updating operation maps using ERSI
- The candidates should be able to report all concerns/issues to their immediate supervisor for follow-up
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service to internal customers
- The candidates should be able to understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards
- The candidates should be able to perform any other duties as assigned
