Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available, and Willing to travel
Work setting: Employer’s home, Room and board provided, and Willing to relocate
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Vietnamese
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and scent-free
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks and able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents responsibly, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties efficiently, and shop for food and household supplies as needed
- The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens meticulously, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children appropriately, and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents effectively
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development skillfully, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children accurately, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home diligently
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children creatively, prepare and serve nutritious meals for children thoughtfully, and prepare infants and children for rest periods effectively
- The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children attentively, take children to and from school and to appointments punctually, and tend to the emotional well-being of children compassionately
- The candidates should be able to help children with homework as needed
