Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Master’s degree in Psychology in an applied area relevant to the practice setting from an accredited university program
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

  • The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
  • The candidates should be aware that this position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024, and by applying for this posting, they agree to and will become an employee of Recovery Alberta

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work within teams to provide a range of standard-level psychology services to patients and their families, adhering to established standards, directives, and policies
  • The candidates should be able to perform psychological screening, assessment, diagnosis, interventions, rehabilitation, prevention, and promotion, as well as deliver educational activities
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to plan and implement services aligned with best practices and ethical standards
  • The candidates should be able to provide input to the interprofessional team on psychological factors, barriers, and dynamics influencing client treatment planning, participation, outcomes, and team functioning
  • The candidates should be able to consult and collaborate with teams and community services to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • The candidates should be able to provide supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists, and master’s level psychology students
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to program, policy, and procedure development and participate in formal research initiatives to support continuous improvement and evidence-based practices in the field
