Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Truck Driver
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and operating equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class DZ driver’s license with an air brake endorsement
- The candidates should have a clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents
- The candidates should demonstrate solid knowledge of concrete mixing and pouring procedures
- The candidates should be familiar with construction sites and have an understanding of safety regulations
- The candidates should have the ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and construction site plans
- The candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a tractor hauling a float trailer holding heavy construction machinery under the direction of the Operations Supervisor
- The candidates should be able to safely operate a concrete truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites
- The candidates should be able to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition
- The candidates should be able to follow specific instructions for each delivery, including the correct mixture, quantity, placement of concrete and perform other duties as requested by the Operations Staff
- The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and quantities delivered
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and professional interactions with construction site personnel and load and unload concrete materials
- The candidates should be able to follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage
- The candidates should be able to report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor promptly
- The candidates should be able to be responsible for the maintenance of the equipment as per Forest Contractors Ltd.’s maintenance practices and procedures as well as manufacturers specifications
- The candidates should be able to follow all applicable Federal Transport Canada, Provincial MTO and local and jurisdictional legislation including but not limited to logbooks, weight restrictions, cargo securement and Highway Traffic Act regulations
